North End Row Houses
A paper collage of this colourful row of houses located on Nora Bernard Street was featured in a Saltwire News article titled Art as therapy: These Nova Scotians like using their hands to transform paper and calm their minds. The article, written by Juanita Rossiter, thoughtfully shares the theraputic aspect of working with paper and details the process of several other local paper artists.
Artist Statement
I am a North End Halifax-based paper collage artist who creates artwork entirely from recycled magazines. “I turn to the houses within a short walking distance of my home for inspiration. Full of energy and colour, my artwork attempts to capture the feeling of a neighbourhood walk, showcasing the vibrancy and uniqueness of the place I call home.” In addition to original paper collages, I sell reproduction greeting cards and prints, through AC Paper Collage, supporting the belief that art should be accessible and enjoyed by everyone.
